looking back over my preliminary task, what have i felt like iv learnt in progression from it to the full product

  • mini-practial deadline

before we had to meet our deadline of friday the 8th of october we had to learn all of the all the different types of areas that filming has from, cinemaphotgrapy, mise on sene, editing and sounds. we needed to know this or the film wouldn't have any meaning. the lesson that i learnt from this was not taking enough information so then i couldn't use a different range of camera shots or putting more thought into where we might our location might be.
  • Period: to

    AS media coursework.

  • continuity editing and montate editing

on the 12th i learnt the two different types of editiing and the reason why there might of been done. continuity is when the cuts are invisable to the naked eye and makes the film run better, the reason why this is done because it make it more real life.
montate editing is when you can see cuts change so you see a jump, the reason why this is done to make you think about the editing and what your seeing is what actually happen.
  • we chose continuity editing and why?

we chose continuity editing for the reason that we want the audience to feel like that they are getting lost within the film and that they are there in the film watching the event that is happening right in front of there eyes. the lesson that i learnt later on was that you need to film a lot more and film everything from the front and then the back.
  • doing an risk assesment

    doing an risk assesment
with all film set from little college productions to a major hollywood block buster they will all need to do a risk at assesment to make sure that everything has been cover to prevent any kinda of accident accuring. what i learnt from this is that i didnt realise that so much effort went on behind the scenes of a film set just to make it and i wish i took more care about what could happen.
  • being shown how to use the equitment.

being shown how to use the equitment.
    on the 14th tristan (our teacher) showed us how to us a;
    camera.
    a tripod.
    lighting equitment.
  • the start of our filming

    the start of our filming
filming is pretty normally but the lesson i learnt from this is making sure that we give ourself enough time from the start and the end so it would help us when we come to editing.
  • how am i going to approach my target audience

how am i going to approach my target audience
when we were trying to find to approach our target audience i learnt that there many options that i could use to my advantage such as i could use the internet and soical networks or other ideas was going out to the public.
  • custome

making sure that you give the right impression or make the right mind set, you can do this in a number of way and the best way i have choosen was that what the character wear. so we made sure that the actors were given the right custome so they fitted into the film. i learnt from this that every little detail from a hat being worn in one style might give a different impression from if it was being worn in different style.
  • story line

    story line
by having a storyline it makes it a lot easy to know what you are doing when it comes to filming but sometimes these story lines can change, sometimes for the best or the worst. what i learnt from the story line that planning every camera shot and where should the actor start from and the way one should walk ect. if you didnt do this then you can give off the the wrong impression for your film.
  • con of start of the filming

con of start of the filming
editing, it was really hard to make that flow better.
  • the start of editing.

    the start of editing.
Editing was where i learnt many things to learn such as how to up load our video from camera too the computer, to do this we used onlocation, this is a you are able to save all the clips that you need for editing. after i had learnt how to use onlocation i had to learn how to premier pro, premier pro is where you are able to put together your film. the biggest problem that i had was that i didnt have enough time from the start of a clip to the end of the clip and as we wanted to do contuinty
  • start of reasreach

     start of reasreach
what we needed to do for a our research we had too look at two opening sequence of our choose, we had too watch and break down every little peace of detail what we saw such as why have the title have been place in that part of the screen and why the back ground screen is the colour that it is and is ther back ground music and if so what kinda of vide does it give you. what i learnt from this is how much work goes into creating a opening sequence and that i have a lot of work ahead of me.
  • researching my target audience

    researching my target audience
we had to find out who we thought who would watch our film.what ilearnt from this was how differcult it was too choose an audience without a product to show.
  • health and safety

    health and safety
when thinking about health and safety you have to make sure that you can think of every mine detail that could happen, it was very different from then we were planning our mini project as it was all in college. in the openning sequence we were going out into the really word where many acceident could happen. what i learnt from this is there are many dangous in life that you never really think about.
  • casting

    casting
when making a film you need to make that you have the right cast. once againg if you dont have the right cast then you can give off the wrong impression to the audience. what i learnt from choseing the cast was that you can never trust them, the lesson i learn't from this was when we needed a drive he pulled out on the day when we were going to film so this put our chandler a couple day behind.
  • the start of our filming

    the start of our filming
i thought our filming was successful because of all the planning and research that we had done in the past came together to make flow more smoothly.
