    On June 28, 1922 Mussolini took power of in Italy. Elected in 1922 and stayed in power until 1943 and shortly after his short leave from office came back until his death. Mussolini was the 40th Prime Minister of Italy.

    On February 1, 1931 Japan invades Manchuria. Chinese troops were attacked by the Japanese in Manchuria. This was an attempt by the Japanese Empire to gain control over the whole province, in order to eventually encompass all of East Asia.

    On November 8, 1932 FDR was elected president. He was the 32 President of the United States. He changed America in ways that no other president had. His first 100 days are still compared to the current presidents first 100 days and helped bring the US out of its first depression.

Hitler was one of the greatest leaders and help to bring Germany back as one of the strongest powers in the world, but after he got all this power he started to use it wrongly. He created the Nazi regime which killed almost a total of 10 to 12 million people half of which were of Jewish decent.

    On June 17, 1936 was the Spanish Civil War. After the first military plan failed to win control of the country, a bloody civil war broke out with both sides. This was the Spanish Civil War and it was a military revolt against the Republican government of Spain.

    On May 1, 1937 the Neutrality Act was started. This was a prohibition of arms and ammunition to belligerent countries. Also it banned the U.S. from shipping arms and ammunition to these countries.

    On October 5, 1937 the Quarantine Speech was made and it was a speech about the countries well being to people in Chicago. It was about how the people of Chicago should stand by Roosevelt and the war.

    On September 29, 1938 the Munich Conference was held in Munich and was attended by Russia, Germany, Britain, France, and Italy to talk about what to do about Germany. During the time there, the allies decided to approve a policy of appeasement, wherein they would allow Germany to erase the boundaries of the Versailles Treaty without taking military action.

    On December 8, 1941 the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. This was an attack on a U.S. military base that lead to the U.S. entry to the war.
