    1833 Factory Act
    National archives (2004) indicates that in 1833 the Government passed a factory act to enhance conditions for children working in production lines. Young children were working extended periods in working environments were conditions were regularly loathsome. No child under the age of nine was allowed to work in factories, and other alterations However, the passing act did not imply that the mistreatment halted overnight.
