    Source The jungle by Upton Sinclair revealed the corrupt and unsanitary conditions of the meat packing industry. He exposed how the workers were likely to spread contagious disease through the meat and many meats were purposley mislabled. This led to reform regarding food packing laws.

The immigration act was passed and required records for all immigrants on ships coming to the country. This along with the other sections of the act made it increasingly harder to enter the country.

Thanks to movements like the NAACP acts have been passed even recently like the Equal Oppurtunity act that prevents discrimination in the wsork place.

The employees werelocked in the building to increase productivity, but when a fire errupted they became caged in.     SourceEqual right was first presented to congress by Alice Paul in 1923. Paul was the founder of the National Womens Party and played a large part in the movement. Although the amendment wasnt passed until later Paul played a large part in it. Thanks to the ERA women are able to vote and are more recently becoming closer to equal to men in the workplace.

    SourceIn 1929 the stock market fell to an all time low. As a result many people were worried about their money that was in the banks. Everyone tried to take their money out at once andthe banks could not provide it. This changed the structure of the banks so they were more secure.
