Francis Pegahmagabow and First Nations soldiers
Francis Pegahmagabow was a soldier at the army and one of the original members of the first Canadian Infantry Battalion. He had a terrible experience at the trenches where the German had a poisonous gas and had lost half of his men but manage to hold on and make it through. -

During the war and with the men alway at the battle field, then the woman would need to work to help raise the kids and it was not very fair for the woman. Their wages depended on how well they worked and with hours and hours of hard work they nearly gain anything. -
The Economy and the Home Front
After the war had ended the government had added taxes to most popular products like tobacco, alcohol, etc. Then the taxes went towards businesses and a tax corporations with $50,000 or even more. For those who don't pay the fine were to have to pay $100 per day. -

as the war went on Canada's labour was send to a different area and people were desperate for labour and had to work in terrible working conditions in the freezing cold and some had to be separated from their families. -
Jeremiah Jones and Black Canadian Soldiers
it was during the battle of Vimy Ridge where Jeremiah Jones was rescuing a unit with 16 black Canadian soldiers with a great success and was the greatest ones and proved that blacks Canadians have a place in the army. -
Mae Belle Sampson, Katherine MacDonald and Nurses Overseas
These were times are when woman were not allowed to be pilots, soldiers but nurses and treat the injured men from war and send them back to battle. One nurse named Katherine MacDonald as a nurse but lost her life from an air strike at the hospital. Also another nurse named Mae Belle Sampson and other nurses were returning soldiers back to Canada on the Llandovery Castle then a German submarine torpedoed the Llandovery Castle as lost their lives
