    1st day at sea

Its the first day at sea. There are about 250 to 300 other men on this ship and most of us are jjust ordinary sailors so we all have to sleep on the open deck. We had to eat all the fresh food before we started our voyage. So what I ate today was salted meat.

    life at sea

I haven't gotten much sleep at all because of the pain in my legs. Plus all the other guys are in pain and so they're screaming about it. But to add to that, my watch adn I have been working alot of shifts, pumping the sea water out, moving the sails, scrubing the decks, and mending the sails. That stuff wears you out.

Then I had to do 4 hours of scrubbing the decks. I didnt get to eat for 3 days straight, until today, we had fish and hard ships biscuits with gross yellow water.

    last day at sea

We have almost reached our destitnation. A lot of the men on the ship died. I am extremly excited to eat regular food. Instead of ones that are full of worms, smell of rat urine, and have maggots in them.
