  • Part 1

A lot of people to many things that aren’t good for them. That is okay, but sometimes taking risks could even be deadly. People make bad choices because of things like peer pressure. Everyone wants to fit in. “No one likes to feel isolated or alone, especially when you are a teenager” (page 9).
  • Part 2

Some reckless decisions could be smoking, taking drugs, driving dangerous, drinking alcohol, underage sex, unprotected sex, and criminal activities. “These risky behaviors can generate differing emotions such as excitement and anxiety, even though the risks are fairly minimal” (page 8).
  • Part 3

To refuse peer pressure you must be strong. Some things that can make you seem more confident are if you stand up straight, make eye contact, tell them the truth about how you feel, don't lie and make up excuses, and always stick up for yourself. Always think about the consequences of your decision, ones that will impact you or the people around you.
  • Part 4

“It's really important that as a young people you consider the legal implications of any decisions you are thinking of making, which may actually be considered illegal” (page 10). Anything you do, you need to think it out first, because it could lead to injury, illness, or even death. Always think about the positive, negative, long-term, and short-term effects of the decision you're about to make.
  • Part 5

One of my friends grandfather always was smoking from his pipe. He smoked before dinner. He smoked at a funeral. I don’t even know if he took it out when he showered. It was very nasty and not hygienic too. My friend told me that he died because of suffocation.
  • Part 6

He died because he was smoking in his bathroom, and the room filled with the smoke so much he couldn’t breath. His lungs were in tip-top shape either because of the 50+ years of smoking. This shows that he made the decision to start smoking, and made many more bad decision that led to bad habits. Always watch what you do.
