    French and Indian War
    The French and Indian war was between Britian and France. Both had help from either native Americans or colonial malishia. The war was over land in North America, expecially the Ohio River Valley, and control of trade routes.This war cost the British eight million dollors and the British expected the Americans to repay it. To repay them the British created a series of taxes starting with the sugar Act of 1765. (The Sugar Act was latter replaced by the Stamp Act and then the Declaratory Act.)
  • Townshend Acts

    The Townshend Acts were a new set of taxes by the British on the Colonists to repay the war debit. The acts replaced the Declaratory Act. The Townshend Acts put a taxes on tea, glass, paint, paper and other goods the British felt were un-necessary. This act also included the first quartering act. After boycotts this Act was replealed but the British kept the tea tax.
  • Boston Massacre

    Not much is known about the Boston Massacre. The end result was five dead Americans.
  • Boston Tea Party

    Boston Tea Party
    Angry Colonists dressed up like Native Americans and entererd a British ship carring tea to America. The colonists then dumped all the tea into the water. There was so much tea that it turned the water brown for days. This action told the British that they were done with there new taxes. The tea party also cost the British millions of dollors.
  • Intolerable Acts

    The Intolerable Acts was a group of laws on the Colonists from the British. They were extremely harsh on the city of Boston because they were being punished for the Boston Tea Party and the Boston Massacre. The Intolerable Acts included; the Boston Port Act, Goverment Act, Second Quartering Act, Quebec Act, and Justice Act.
  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    The towns of Lexington & Concord hosted the first shots fired in the American Revolution. The Britrish army was ordered by the King to take away all the guns from the Armory in Concord. The warning system the Colonists had warned them and they hind all the guns, so the British found nothing. The British had to march through a marsh which was to there disadvantage. In the end 273 British and 95 colonists became killed or wounded.
  • Declaration of Independance

    Declaration of Independance
    The Declaration of Indepenance was signed on July 4th by all the members of the Contenental Congress except one. It was written by Thomas Jefferson with help fron Benjamin Franklin and John Adams. It was sent to the British and really started the American Revolution.
