*Son became the most popular form of Cuban music.

*Radio broadcasting began in the hope to popularize Son montuno and other popular forms of Cuban music.

1930:
*Son was urbanized by adding instruments such as the trumpet.
*Cuban music entered the United States.
*Don Azpiazu had the first million dollar record known to Cuban music.

1939:
*Mambo music began to develop.

1941:
*The Tropicana Caberet Orchestro was led by Armando Romeu Jr, for 25 years. This orchestro presented Afro-cuban, Cuban Jazz, and American compositions.
