Mario

The Mario franchise spawned over 200 games since its first release in 1981.
Known as Jumpman in the original Donkey Kong video game, the character was created by Japanese game designer Shigeru Miyamoto and since became the official mascot of Nintendo, owner of the trademark. Mario franchise has expanded into other media, including three animated television series, comic books, manga, film and other merchandise.
