  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    An event in which five colonists were shot by British soldiers on the streets of Boston. The colonists were throwing things at them but that did not give the British the right to shoot.
  • Boston Tea Party

    An event in which the colonists took acction and dumped 342 chests of tea into the Boston Harbor.
  • Battle of Lexington and Concord

    The Americans intercepted the British who were trying to destroy American weapons and ammunition. The first shot fired, by who is unknown, was called the shot heard round the world. This shot started the war.
  • Battle of Bunker Hill

    Battle of Bunker Hill
    The British technically won, but in a sense the Americans won. The British defeated the Americans, but they lost more men then the Americans by far.

    The british drove washington out of New York and he retreated to the white plains, where for the first time washington and his troops held their own. But again the British outmaneuvered them.
