    Required that paper goods have a stamp. This was one tax that affected everyone. The loyal nine came about from this and the colonist followed non-importation agreements.

    Thomas Jefferson origianally just wanted New Orleans but when he send people to go negotiate with Nepolean, Nepolean asked how much they would pay for the whole land. The US got it for 15 Million!
