Missouri Comprimise
The comprimise was when Missouri wanted to join as a free state but it would be an uneven number of slaves states and free states. Henry Clay made a comprimise to let Missouri in as a slave state but at the same time let Maine join as a free state. -
Nat Turners Rebellion
Nat Turner was thought to beleive he was receiving telepathic messages from God. He thought he was told to start a rebellion on white people. -
The comprimise of 1850
California asked to join as a free state but was below the 360 line for the northh they got they let California a free state and the stop of selling slaves in D.C . the south received that Utah and Mexico could vote for wether or not they wanted slavery. -
Kansas Nebraska act
The congress passed the Kansas Nebraska act to orginise the rest of the territories from the Louisiana Purchase so that they could become part of the Union. -
Slavery
White people were taking black people from Africe to make them do there hard work and make them slaves. -
election of 1860
For the Republicans they used Aberham Lincoln. North Democrats used Stephen A. Douglas but the south Democrats used John C. Breckinridge. Lincoln was elected president wich made people in the south furious and left before he was even elected because they thought he would take away there slaves even though he promised not to wich made the people in still in the south furious because there were less people to vote. -
The secession.
The south was angrey because many people from the south had left because of the election of 1860 and There were alot more people in the north were mad because they had less voters.
