Nat Turner’s Rebellion
Nat Turner’s Rebellion was a group blacks and they would go onto plantations and kill all the whites mostly the kids were killed. The leader was Nat turner a black man that had visions that lead him to start the rebellion. he was found in a swap on october 30th and hung on november 1st. -
Fugitive Slave Act
The fugitive slave act was that the north could not free the slaves they had to return them to the owner s but a lot of people on the north thought it was wrong so they did not follow the law. Witch was making the south very angry so the union was getting threatened by a silly little law. That only half of their country liked. -
Kansas-Nebraska Act
It was a a organozation that said the the people that lived in Kansas and nebraska could vote if they wanted to free state or a slave state. -
John Brown Rebellion
John brown was a man against slavery. He created a plan to try and stop slavery. The south was affected because they were worried that they would end slavery. John brown led my white and free black men to their death including his sons and in the end himself. -
Dred Scott Decision
Dred Scott Decision was started because Dr. John Emerson would travel to the north were slavery was illegal and would buy slaves so two of his slaves Dred Scott and his wife decided to sue him but the supreme court said that slaves did not have right there for they could not sue him. -
The Election of 1860
Abraham Lincoln was a man that was against slavery he was running against to other man that did think that slavery was ok. one of the reasons that Abraham Lincoln was because he was the only one running against slavery very so the north all voted for him but the south had to slip there votes. -
Secession
Secession was started because south Carolina joined the county and were followed by many other states and the government did not enforce the fugitive slave act .
