    Castellers de Vilafranca
    Castellers de Vilafranca is a organization that builds human towers using people regardless of race or other discrimination. This organization is made up of over 400 members and 500 official supporters. They build many human towers and compete against other rival human tower building associations throughout Spain. Castellers de Vilafranca performs many times throughout the year and the group started in 1948. The groups headquarters are in Cal Figarot, Casa Via Raventós.
  • Moros y Cristianos

    Moros y Cristianos
    Moros y Cristianos is a festival that takes place from April 21 to April 24 each year. The city of Alcoy is a great place to go. Through the four days, mock battles take place in the streets. On the final day, the Christians are defeated, and then Saint George appears. He helps the Christians defeat the Moors. The festival is used to remember the battle between the Christians and the Moors. Moros y Christianos is a great festival to go take part in.

    La feria de abril takes place every year at a different time. Every day at noon, women in flamenco dresses are processed through the city in beautiful carriages pulled by horses. There is also bullfighting and horse shows. The fair started in 1847 as a livestock fair. It continues to take place to this day. The fair takes place in the city of Seville. Make sure to check each year for the new fair dates.
  • Pamplona

    Pamplona is an event in which each day 12 bulls run down a corral and a bunch of people chase them. In Pamplona, they run in honor of San Fermin during the festival of Sanfermines in Pamplona from July 7th to July 14th. To participate, you must be 18 years old and not under the influence of alcohol. The running of the bulls began in the 14th century and still takes place today.
  • La tomatina

    La tomatina
    This large tomato fight takes place in the city of Bunyol. The fight takes place between 11 am and 1 pm on the last day of August. La tomatina started in 1945 when an annual parade was going through the streets of the town. A few young people threw tomatos at one of the people and started the tradition of the tomato fight. There are several rules including that you must crush the tomato before throwing it to avoid injury. Anybody may participate in the fight as long as they follow the rules.
