His name is Oliver, but people called him boo because of his ghostly pale skin and whitish-blonde hair. He fell to the ground, his heart stopped. He woke up and knew he was dead because he could see perfectly without his glasses. He saw a girl sleeping on a swivel chair and woke her up, he asked her if he was dead and she said that he passed, but he was still alive. -

Oliver learns that in 5 decades he will go to sleep and not wake up. Now he knows that when that happens he might go to a higher level of heaven, with better food,sturdier plumbing, and sunnier skies. Others wonder if they will reincarnate back to America. -

In Town the buildings can “fix themselves”. Over time if there is a crack in a wall or broken glass, it will slowly fix itself. Town lacks many things that they have in America,but they have gigantic concrete walls that America doesn’t. Thirteen is Town’s lucky number because everyone there is thirteen, so it's divided into thirteen zones arranged in patchwork. -

Oliver (Boo) had a dream that he was back at his school in America, he was all alone in the gym. He thought it was Zig calling his name, but it was actually Thelma. He got up and opened the door for her, and there stood someone he recognizes from his school. Oliver Wanted to know how he died, there was a school shooter at his old school in Hoffman Estates. -
Boo
Boo, Thelma, and Johnny( the boy from his school) were talking about how he died. Johnny was in a coma for five weeks and never woke up, he got shot at school by a school shooter. Boo thought that maybe he died from being shot too because he heard a gunshot and screams right before he died. -
Boo
Boo and Johnny were trying their best to think of how it could be because the shooter shot himself. They wanted to try to see if he was in Town because he is also 13. Johnny said he had bad nightmares about the shooter, but still can’t remember what he looks like. -
Boo
Boo goes down to measure the growth of the glass in the window, after that he gets breakfast for him and Johnny. He is worried that if he did get shot, did it go in the hole in his heart. He opens the paper bag and takes out the breakfast and starts breathing into it. Esther walks up to him and asks him if he's okay, and he says he was murdered. She told him that there is a group for people that have been murdered and they talk about what happened to them. -
Boo
It’s Halloween, Oliver dresses up as a ghost and Johnny wore a black domino mask, like worn by robbers. Their goal was to disguise themselves in case they run into Gunboy, on Halloween people in Town travel far and wide. They go to the Halloween program and sit in the aisle so they can move closer to Gunboy if they spot him. Esther comes to sit with Johnny and Oliver, Thelma is on stage doing a reenactment of her murder. -
Boo
After all the performances are done they go somewhere else where there are black and orange things hanging down, people dancing, drinks, and places to sit. Boo, Thelma, and Johnny sit down on a love seat, but Boo is squished and he doesn't like being touched. He finally told them why, it’s because he touched his dead uncle and got in trouble and knocked things down. -
Boo
Boo was walking with Thelma, Esther, and Johnny, but Johnny was far ahead of them. Johnny starts running to a person on a bike. Boo notices that he had brown hair and big ears, just like Gunboy. When Johnny slowed down the others went running to him. Johnny told them that it was Gunboy! -
Boo
Johnny Henzel was drawing pictures while Oliver went to a different building and the floor was the roof. They think that Gunboy is in Town. During the do-good council, Esther Haglund gives Gunboy the name Gumby because she is trying to keep the mood light. Esther doesn’t sit on the council, but she was there for moral support while Johnny tells about his death and Oliver’s death. She is also an eyewitness to his recent sighting of the boy who looks like their killer. -
Boo
They go to the Sophie building for a council meeting, it seems to be the principal's office. The council people don’t believe that they actually saw Gunboy because heaven has never harboured a murderer. They wanted to know if they have in there, they do i is called Gene Forrester but not very many townies get locked up. -

Thelma, Esther, Johnny, and Oliver go to the Guy Montag Library, known as the Curios where they see Peter Peter -
Boo
Thelma,and Oliver go to see Peter Peter (Peter Peterman), they talk about the brine shrimp they have there. Oliver thought that only humans came to town, but sometimes things that are not human come to town, like a gerbil that came in a basket of tennis balls. Esther and Johnny come and tell them to be fast and come look at something in a case. The object in the case is a gun, Johnny is very worried. -
Boo
They asked when the gun arrived, it arrived a week ago from Six, it has no bullets. They try to make Johnny leave, but he won’t , so they wait for him and tell Peter Peter about Gunboy. They start to leave, but Johnny hasn’t moved or said a single thing. But then Johnny is ready to leave, and he's also ready to catch Gunboy. They were in the Jerry Renault Park in Ten when Johnny decided they need boxing lessons to prepare for Gunboy.
