The American Cilvil War began at 4:30 A.m in April 12, 1861, when General Pierre G.T. Beauregard's Confedrate artillery opened fire on the Fort Sumter in the harbor of Charleston, South Carolina. -

Abraham was shot in the head by John Wikes Booth in the Ford`s Theater at 10:13 p.m. and died at 7:22 a.m. the next day.
