High school Graduation
On the Saturday following the final day of school, I will graduate from high school. Hopefully, I will have maintained a high GPA - at least 3.8. I hope to get a summer job and apply to various colleges. As it looks now, I want to go to a school in Minnesota. -
First Day of College
My first day of college will be in the fall of 2018. Minnesota State University has an accounting program. I would like to have a GPA of at least 3.5 in college. I would also like to find an internship for the summer. -
College Graduation
After spending four years in college getting my Bachelor's degree in Accounting. I hope to have had some practical experience through an internship. Still in Minnesota, I hope to be hired by a corporation to do in-house accounting. I hope to make at least $40,000 a year starting out. -
CPA
I hope to become a Certified Public Accountant shortly after I graduate from college. This will help me find a career in accounting. I'd also like to be granted other forms of certificiation. -
First Day of Work
I hope that, a few months after I graduate from college, I will apply for a job and get it. Hopefully I will be working for an accounting firm in Minneapolis. If I were to live elsewhere, I'd probably move back to South Dakota and work in Sioux Falls. I hope that my starting salary is around $40,000. -
Move
I hope to move from Minneapolis to Chicago. The average rate of pay for an Accountant in Chicago is high enough to make the move viable. By now, I have a few years of experience under my belt. I would like have a decent rate of pay by now. -
Promotion
I hope to be promoted to a supervising position by the time I am 40. Whether I'll be the head of a department in an accounting firm, or supervising an office depends upon where I work. The goal is to reach an upper level of management. -
Retirement
By now I have been working for over 40 years as an accountant. I hope to have reached a salary of around $80,000. I also hope to have made enough money to comfortably retire.
