    Access to trade for gold, spices, and fabrics inspired Europeans to find a new, faster route to South Asia. MOst of West Africa's coast was explored from 1415 to 1600s. POrtugese had a great relationship with Africa. From trade to urban cities to migrations of people. This event is significant because it lead to the African Slave Trade, an influential event that impacted Europe, the Americas, and Africa. Portugese in Africa

    Apartheid This period in south africa's history was where the whites moved form the costal lands to inland, most of the whites controled the farm lands. In 1913 after south africa gained independence this where the racial tension bgean, the law forbid whites and blacks to marry, live in reserved areas also it was illegal for them to work as sharecroppers as well. This act was finally dfeated after world war two.

    Sahara went from green to desert in a flashThe Sahara Desert wasn't always a desert. It was once a grasslands with hippos and giraffes. Researchers believe the cause was dust blown west from Africa which can cause drier conditions along with the shifting of the seasonal monsoons. This caused the people to migrate and this climate change was one of the most dramatic climate shift.
