    Japan invades Manchuria
    The Japanese Kwangtung Army's invasion of Manchuria followed the Mukden Incident in Manchuria. The invasion began the Japanese invasion that would last until Februrary of 1932. The Japanese established a puppet state, Manchukuo, and their occupation there lasted until the end of WWII.
