Alan Turing began to attend an all boys private school called Sherborne. There he began developing his interest in math and science.
He also became very close to a boy named Christopher Morcom. -

Alan's dearest friend Christopher passed away, leaving Alan heart broken, and alone for an extended period of time. He never forgot his friend. -

Creation of the Turing Machine
Turing Inviented the Turing machine which he called an "a-machine" or automatic machine. It is used to read a series of symbols from computer tape, and find a logical patern in them to simulate its logic. -
German Enigma
Turing was introduced to the German Enigma machine which was used in WWII to transfer crypted messages between Nazi strong holds.. He was enlisted into the team which would was tasked with cracking the code of the enigma machine. -
Decrypting Enigma
Turing and the team he worked with successfully created a Turing machine, focused on decrpyting the Enginma cypher, and was able to turn the tide of WWII to the Allies favor. -

Alan Turing was arrested in 1952 under the charge of being a homosexual. Due to these charges he lost his secuirty clearance, and was to receive hormonal treatment to go under chemical castration. -
Unfinished Work
Due to the arrest and removal of security clearance, Turing was unable to finish his research in physics and biology. These events likly pressured him into the eventual suicide later this year. -

Alan Turing took is own life under the pressure of trying to be someone he could not be after being arrested and charged for being a homosexual. This marked a tragic loss for the world of mathematics and technology.
