  • Computer

    First time ever using the word computer was in 1613, the idea was brought up when they had two seprate technologies automated calculation and programmability, Unfortiantly there was no signal. Later on in the 1620 they had added the side rules to the computer, then they had carried them along on five of the apollo space missions. Later on in 1837 , Charles Babbage was the first too desighn the reconizable computure. He was also known as "The Godfather of computers"
  • The Car

    The first ivention of the car was about areound 1769, which was ivented by Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot. His invention was a self-propelled mechanical vehicle. Karl Benz was actually the inventor of the modern automobile. Henry Ford was the first to make these cars affordible.
  • Telephone

    The main point of a telephone was for two people that where a distance far from each other where able to communicate. The idea of voice transmission over a wire was first brought up in the yearly 1870's. Alexander Graham Bell was the first to get awarded with this idea out of five people inculding Thomas Edison. The others were giving credit by being Inventors of electronics
  • The Television

    After being sketched as a telephonoscope in 1887 the idea of making a transmitted electrically images shown onto a screen was a great idea. That great idea was soon called the Television.
  • The Great Migration

    The Great Migration
    The Great Migration was the movment of 2 Million African Americans that were moving to Southern United States to find work and leave racisum. Many moved from Texas, California, and Louisiana where they found defense industry. A Large group of African Americans moved to Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi, and those were just the main thre states out of 14.
  • 18th

    The 18th Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibited the manufacture, sale, transport, import, or export of alcoholic beverages. Upon ratification of the amendment by the states, Congress voted its approval in October 1919, and enacted it into law as the National Prohibition Act of 1920.
  • 19th amendment

    The 19th Amendment granted women the right to vote.
  • Immigration Act

    The Immigration Act of 1924 was the act of The United States Federal Law that decided to limit the number of immigrant aliens in particular countrys. The legislation decided that if you are identified as a "non-quota" which was wives and unmarried children under the age of 18 and were residants of the Western hemisphere, were allowed to enter. But if you were known as a “quota immigrant" you were considered part of the subject to annual numerical limitations.
  • Emergency Quota Act

    The Emergency Act was basically rhe act to limit the number of immigrants who would be admitted from any country annually to 3%. Professionals were allowed in despite their origins. This act was passed withou a record vote in the U.S. House of Representatives. The only reason it was passed was because the number of immagrants was begining to get higher, and it had a negitive effect on the native-born Americans.
  • Black Thursday

    Black Thursday is a term used to refer to events which occur on a Thursday. It has been used in the following cases to this day: * February 6, 1851, Black Thursday bushfires, a day of devastating bushfires in Victoria, Australia, the largest recorded bushfire in Victoria * October 24, 1929
  • Franklin D. Roosevelt elected President

    Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected in November 1932. After being elected president he made many promises that did help with the great depression and began a new economy. He was actually the first to create minimum-wage and welfar. He also started social security.
  • 21st amendment

    Section 1. The eighteenth article of amendment to the Constitution of the United States is hereby repealed. Section 2. The transportation or importation into any State, Territory, or possession of the United States for delivery or use therein of intoxicating liquors, in violation of the laws thereof, is hereby prohibited. Section 3. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by conventions in the several States.

  • Hoover Dam constructed

    Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the US states of Arizona and Nevada. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression, and was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin Roosevelt.
  • Black Tuesday

    Black Tuesday is a 1954 film noir starring Edward G. Robinson. The film is a return of Robinson playing evil gangster types like he did in early Warner Bros. films. The crime melodrama also stars Peter Graves in one of his early film roles. The film also starred Jean Parker.
  • Frisbee invented

    The frisbee also known as the flying disc. The idea of selling a flying disc came to a man named Walter Frederick Morrison. He discovered that he can make marketing by selling them when his future wife Lucile was offerd 25 cents for a cake pan to toss back in forth to play with. He sold the for 5 cents for people on the beach. They continued they're business untill World War II. After his arrival he designed a sketch. After expiramenting many modles he made the first plastic disc.
  • Internet

    In 1960 ARPANET which where inventors that lead the creation of protocols for the internet. The idea of the internet was to multiple separate networks that could be joined together into a network of networks. By the end of 1971 there was already fifteen sites connected to the young ARPANET. In
    1982 the internet became a worldwide network.
    In the Late 1990s, it was estimated that traffic on the public Internet grew by 100, Which was not expected or predicted.
  • GI Bill of Rights

    The G.I. Bill (officially titled Servicemen's Readjustment Act of 1944, P.L. 78-346, 58 Stat. 284m) was an omnibus bill that provided college or vocational education for returning World War II veterans (commonly referred to as G.I.s) as well as one year of unemployment compensation.
  • The Radio

    The Radio is the transmission signals that run through free space by modulation of ewaves. In 1878, David E. Hughes noticed that sparks could be heard through the telephone receiver whike he was experimenting with his carbon microphone.In 1895, Alexander Stepanovich Popov built his first radio receiver. His had containted a coherer, Which was a improved built reciver. a man by the name of Guglielmo Marconi had bulit a wireless system capable of transmitting signals at long distances.
