  • Lexington and Concord

    Lexington and Concord
    First battle between British and Colonists. The leader of the British was Francis Smith against Minute men from the colonies. The British were trying to secure an armory at Concord and were ambushed by Minute Men.
  • Fort Ticonderoga

    -commanding officers for the green mountain men were Ethan Allen and Benedict Arnold
    -captured their fort and stole important supplies
  • Bunker Hill

    -William Prescott in command of 1,200 colonists troops
    -fought for control of Peninsula, which British gained after war
  • Trenton/Princeton (NJ Campaign)

    George Washington took command and fought at Trenton, which resulted in a huge morale boost for the colonists and their army to fight against the British.
  • Saratoga (Bemis Heights Second Battle)

    John Burgoyne and his forces tried to retreat but found themselves in another skirmish, which ultimately ended up bringing the French into the America side of the war.
  • Siege of Charleston

    Commander Benjamin Lincoln of the colonists stopped to siege of the Southern Colonies and created a surrender for 5,000 British soliders.
  • King's Mountain

    British commander Patrick Ferguson and his men were surrounded on their retreat to Souther Carolina by minute men and lost the fight, taking many causalities.
  • Yorktown

    George Washington vs. Charles Cornwallis, George and the Patriots army joined forces with the French in order to captured Cornwallis and the British forces, making it the last major battle of the American Revolutionary War.
