    • Less than 100 rebels suprised the still sleeping British and took over the Fort
  • Bunker (Breed's) Hill

    • Colonists had stealthily occupied Bunker Hill and Breed's Hill. The British mounted an attack against them. The British lost a significant amount of troops, but overall won the battle and took over Charlestown Peninsula

    • Washington and his army quickly captured an army of Hesians. This helped the morale of Washington's army and helped inspire reenlistments

    • Burgoyne led a British invasion force into New York, but his army was surrounded by Rebel forces and he surrendered his entire army. This was a turning point because it won French support for the Colonists
