    The American Revolution

    The American Revolution was a revolt that occurred between 1765 and 1783. The American soldiers in the Thirteen Colonies won independence from Great Britain, becoming the United States of America. They defeated the British in the American Revolutionary War with the help of France. This event is important because we won independence from Great Britain allowing us to create our on nation based on what we wanted and know it's true. This permitted all the important events in history to happen.

    Bill of Rights

    The Bill of Rights are the first ten Amendments of the U.S Constitution. This was created by James Madison in response to calls from several states for greater constitutional protection for individual liberties. This is an important event in U.S history because the Bill of Rights shaped our rights. The Bill of Rights allowed us to have rights, without this we would not know how we could be living today.

    Lousiana Purchase

    This was a great thing for the United States mainly because the idea of expansion was finally going about. This purchase was only 15 million dollars and the total territory was almost doubled. This was important for U.S history because it allowed for the economy to increase faster.

    American Civil War

    The American Civil War was fought between the North and South. The Civil War occured do to great disagreements in slavery thoughts. The South part of America wanted to have slavery, that reffered to free labor and this made them had a good econmy. In contrast, the North wanted to eliminate slavery from all the United States. This was an important event for U.S history because it was the first huge movement to abolish slavery. This helped the African Americans to gain rights and become free.

    Emancipation Proclamation

    This led to the release and freedom of thousands of African American slaves who later became great members of society and paved the road for future generations. This event is important becuase it allowed the African Americans for the first time to be free. This would later allow the African Americans to stop unpaid labor and work their way through gaining rights.

    Assassination of Abrahma Lincoln

    Abraham Lincoln was the 16th President of the United States. He was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth, a stage actor. This occured while Abrahm was attending the play " Our American Cousin " at Ford's Theatre in Washington, D.C. This was an important event for U.S histroy because it affected the way Reconstruction shaped. The Reconstruction was affected by Lincoln's assassination and it took way more time for African Americans to become free.

    World War 1 was a war fought by Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire (the Central Powers) against Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Romania, Japan and the United States (the Allied Powers). This war was an important event to the United States, because it was the first mayor battle they fought. This war was also important because it shaped the democratic way we well live.

    Nineteenth Amendment

    The Ninteenth Amendement granted all women the right to vote. This Amendments was passed after a long struggle from women known as the women's sufferage movement. This is an impiortant event an U.S because it granted the women the right to vote. Before, women could not decide on political issues. This created new pathways for women and more invovlment from their part.

    The Great Depression was the worst economic downturn in the history of the industrialized world, lasting from 1929 to 1939. This was a major event in U.S history because it led to the introduction of many new presidents who came up with plans such as social security and banking reform.     The Manhattan Project was a research and development during World War II that produced the first nuclear weapons. This was undertaked by the United States with the help of Canada and England. This was an important event in U.S history, because nobody before had created an atomic bomb before. This made the United States to be above anybody else in military terms.

    The Attack on Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack by the Imperial Japanese Air Force on the naval base off the United States in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday morning, December 7, 1941. The attack led to the United States' formal entry into World War II the next day. This event is important because after this attack it helped the United States join WW2 against great world powers. This is also important because it granted more responsibilities to women at home.

    World War 2 was fought between the Allied powers of the United States, United Kingdom, and Soviet Union against the Axis powers of Germany, Italy, and Japan. The United States got involved in the war after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. This was an important event for U.S history because it impulsed the economy out of the great depression generating more jobs for the people in America. This gave them better lifes and ended the great depression.

    D-Day were landing operations performed by the Allied Powers during World War 2. This invasion allowed the Allies to finally defeat Germany and gain large amounts of territory in Europe. This event was important for U.S history because it meant the second greatest win for U.S. If this invasion had failed it would had change history and maybe how we live today.

    Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    During the final stage of World War II, the United States dropped two nuclear bombs over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. This marked the beginning of nuclear era and the end of World War 2. This was an important event in U.S history because it demonstartes the power the U.S had. Nobody before have had the technology to create a nuclear weapon and it granted them power and capability when politically talking. If the bombs would not have been created then Japan hadn't surrendered.

    The Cold War was a great tension between the United States and the USSR. In this war their were no attacks from either part but they were constantly working to prove who was better. This was an important event for U.S history because it faced one of the larges powers in the world. The Cold War made it possible for the project Apollo 11 to be created and other more projects to prove the United States was better than the USSR.

    The Vietnam War was an undeclared war in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. This was an important event to the U.S history because they were fighting against communism, in a place were it couldn't affect them. This was do to the domino theory, that if one country fell into communism then all its neignorning countries would do the same.

    Tearing Down of The Berlin Wall

    The Berlin Wall had stood since 1961, when it was built by the communist party it was meant to segregate between communism and capatalism. This ended that segregation and was a major win for the capatalist Americans. This was an imporant event for the U.S history because it showed a progress towards defeating communism. This allowed the United States to keep fighting against communism and supporting other nations in risk of falling into communism.

    Civil Rights Act of 1964

    The Civil Rights Act of 1964 outlaws discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. It prohibits unequal application of voter registration requirements, and racial segregation in schools, employment, and public accommodations. This allowed everybody to have the same possibilities and guaranteed their rights to be respected. This was an important event in U.S history because it provided equal treatment for everyone in the U.S for the first time in history.

    This was a major event in US history because as Niel Armstrong said," It was a small step for man a nd a huge leap for humanity. " While it marked a great era for science it also meant that the United States of America could compete in the cold war against the Russians. This event would permit us compete against the Russians providing us the comfort to be ahead of the Russians in every aspect.

    The terrorist attack of 9/11 led to a series of measures taken by the government to secure their borders and combat terrorism. This led to the downfall of terrorist groups like Al-Qaeda as well as the killing of Osama Bin Laden (who worked for the CIA before becoming a terrorist). This was an important event for U.S history because it was the first mayor terrorist attack the United States had suffered. Then as said before, new security methods were develop making the U.S safer.
