Much like the Stamp Acts, The Townshend Acts where an attempt by the British Parliament to tax American colonies for the goods that were imported to them, Subsequently adding more fuel to the fire that resulted in the revolution. -
The Boston Massacre
After the building tension and anger, finally it all came to a head as a mob of patriots stormed Boston, leading to colonists being shot by the British soldiers. And though this was a tragic event, the tension between both colonists and the British was far from over. -
Boston Tea Acts / Party
The Boston Tea Party was an event in which American patriots disguised an native Americans threw roughly 342 of British tea overboard as retaliation for not only the Tea act itself, but the taxation that came before it. -
The Intolerable Acts
Outraged by the events of the Boston Tea Party, the British parliament put in place 5 laws that served to make an example out of the American colonists, while only adding fuel to the growing fire of tension that would eventually result in the revolutionary war. these laws were known as the "Intolerable Acts" -
Lexington Concord
The Battles of Lexington concord are arguably one of the biggest catalysts for the revolutionary war. On April 19, 1775 both the towns of Lexington and Concord (among others) served ads the first military engagements for the American Colonists, basically setting the war itself into motion -
The Declaration Of Independence
The Declaration Of Independence is without a doubt the most well known event throughout this timeline. It declared Independence from the British, and housed within it many of the acts and beliefs that lead to the Revolutionary War.
