    Ancient Rome is founded
    According to legend, Rome was founded by Romulus and Remus, two brothers and demigods. A very heated argument broke out among them about where Rome would be located and who would rule. In the end, Romulus kills Remus, crowning Romulus as the first king of seven in Rome.
    The ancient legend gives us information about early Rome. This time period is important, because it is the story of how Rome first became a civilization.

    Roman Republic is Established
    The last king is dethroned and Rome is now ruled by senators. A constitution with laws is formed and Rome becomes a complicated republican government.
    This date is important, because it is when Rome completely changes its style of ruling. The republican system was a new way of working government in the ancient world.

    This time period is important because thee wars effected Rome greatly. The population was lower and the senators power changed through out the 3 wars. The battles ended in 146BC.

    The First Triumvirate is Formed
    Triumvirate means, three men holding power. The first triumvirate was formed by the alliance of Gaius Julius Caesar, Marcus Licinius Crassus, and Gnaeus Pompey. The three were all powerful men, and when allied together the Roman republic became stronger.
    This date is important, because the first triumvirate lead to more. Also it showed that shared power can be effective, and its better to work together rather then apart.

    Julius was a dictator of the Roman republic, the assasstion was planned by Gaius Cassius Longinus and Marcus Junius Brutus, who were originally allies.
    The reason why this date is important is, because Rome lost a very strong ruler. Caesar was disliked and loved by many.

    This date is important, because the lives of Romans were lost and a part of Romes land wa lost as well. When Mt.Vesuvius it also affected some of the main land of Rome, although it was not buried by ash like Pompeii.

    This date is important, because If did not Hadrian rebuild the Panethon, we would not have the building today. The building is still a beautiful artifact standing from the past.

There were not only struggles with war, but also overspending on the wars. The pressure of low money making the emperor rise taxes, only causing more inflation to the economy.
    This date is important, because it marks the end of a great empire. The end of Rome has many theories, although the foreshadowing for the end was clear with all the debt and harsh taxing.
