    Andrew Jackson was born in Wazhaws, North Carolina to Elizabeth and Andrew Jackson.
  • Battle of Horseshoe Bend

    Battle of Horseshoe Bend
    This was when Andrew Jackson and his army led a battle against the Native Americans. Jackson wanted to clear the Mississippi territory for white settlement. This was one of the reasons he got elected for president-because of his victory at this battle.
  • Battle of New Orleans

    This was the battle where Andrew Jackson defeated the British for good. It was after the war ended, though, so it was pretty pointless.
  • Election of 1824

    This was an intense campaign between mostly Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams. Jackson won the popular vote, but after no one won the electoral vote, Adams was voted president by the House of Representatives.

    This was a campaign between Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams. Jackson won brutally, which was kinda cool, seeing as he was beat by only a little bit in 1824

    This was when Samuel Worcester held a court case against Georgia because their law that Native Americans had to have a license to live on their land was unconstitutional. In retaliation, Georgia arrested Worcester and the 2 other men with him.
  • Nullification Crisis

    This was a time when the convention declared that the tariffs of 1828 and 1832 were unconstitutional. They would have led to succession of South Carolina if they had continued to be enforced.
