    on december 11th 1931 in Britain, the Britain, Canada, and common wealth countries were involved in an agreement that lead a law clearifying Canada's parliament for full legal freedom of common wealth countries.

    in december 1936 Canadian parliament, british dominion and king Edward the 8th were involved in a little dilemma. King Edward the 8th gave up his throne. He did this in hopes of marrying a women the royal members didn't approve.

    in Canada on september 10th 1939 the Canadian parliament made a big decision. Approximately 1 week after Britain declared war, Canada declared war. Canada did this to show their growing independence as a country going forward.

    october 24th 1945. Canada and the united nations join as Canada becomes an independent, free voting member. Canada made this decision in hopes of becoming more independent as a country and to help solve world peace.

    in 1949 Canada's supreme court was granted supreme powers and no longer had to appeal to Britain. this shows Canada's growing independence by not relying on other countries to help them. this event took place in Canada. They did this so that they can control their on country.
