    My Life

  • My Baptism

    My Baptism
This was taken on my Baptism (christening). This event is very important to me, coming from a very Catholic family this event impacted and impacts my life until today. I can relate this to Erikson's theory, stage 1, where I relied on people taking care of me (like my aunt who is holding me on the picture).
  • Learning to Walk

    Learning to Walk
Me, with 1 year of age, with my mother and my cousin who were helping me to walk. I can associate this with Erikson's theory, stage 2, where I'm gaining independence. This was an important event because walking alone and independently is essential to children.
  • Going to School

    Going to School
At 3 years old I started to go to school. During my first years (from 2002-2004) I was following Kohlberg's theory, stage 2, I started to value rules and to respect teachers so they would approve of me.
  • First Presenation

    First Presenation
This was my first real presentation in my school. I had to be responsible by showing up on time and remebering my parts so I didn't mess everything up. I can relate this to stage 3 of Erikson's theory where children learn how to act in a socially responsible way. I had to control my impulse be responsible.
  • Friends

    Friends
When I turned 11 I started to see the outside worl more. I made friends from outside of my school and I started to be affected by my surroundings. My thoughts changed as I opened my mind to other people from other schools and surroundings. I can relate this to Piaget's theory which states that as kids mature and interact with the outside world their thoughts change.
  • Adolescence

    Adolescence
In 2012 I started to reach adolescence and i was becoming more of an independent kid. I relate this to Erikson's theory, stage 5, where I had to search for my identity and my direction in life. I was starting to enter the "real world" in terms of friends and school.
  • Relationships

    Relationships
In 2015 I got into my first relaionship. I still date my boyfriend until today. I can relate this to Erikson's theory, stage 6 of intimacy vs. isolation. I had to face the challenge of building an intimate relationship and of sharing my life with someone other than my friends and parents.
  • Graduation

In 2017 I will be graduating High School. I will have to make my decision of either staying in Brazil or studying abroad. This can relate to Piaget's theory, stage 4, where we are able to start thinking about hypthetical situations and thinking logically and abstractally. This will help me with my decision.
  • College

In 2021 I will be probably reaching the end of college life. I will have to make even more important decisions and then start really living in the "real world". I can relate this to Kohlberg's theory, stage 3, where people start to consider what's really important to them ans start being more flexible. I will have to take these things into considertion when making my decisions.
  • Working

After leaving college I will probably start working. This relates to Erikson's theory, stage 7, where I'll want to be an active member of society, productive and useful.
  • Settling Down

When I'm approximately thirty I will probably start to marry and plan a family. I can still relate this to Erikson's theory, stage 7, where I'll want to be productive not only by working but by parenting and raising a family.
