Clinton was impeached on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. This was following the discovery of an affair he had with a secretary. -
9/11

The city of New Orleans in Louisiana as well as the surrounding area was hit by a bad hurricane. It caused New Orleans to flood and many people died. Many people did not approve of how Bush handled the event. -

In 2007 there was a large housing bubble and people were buying houses they couldnt afford. Eventually, this bubble burst and many people lost money and houses. -

This was a policy attempting to create a sort of universal healthcare. It follows the steps of most other developed countries in having universal healthcare. -

A manhunt that had been happening since 9/11 ended. Osama Bin Laden was kiled, he wad the man res;ponsible for the planning of the attacks. -
President Obama
President Obama was re-elected, beating out Republican candidate Mitt Romney. His re-election would lead to manynew policies. -
2008 Recession
On this day a recession officially started when Lehman Brothers Corporaion went bankrupt. This was on top of the already happening housing crash.
