    The Roosvelt arrived at Cape Sheridan.
  • Special Possession

    Each man took a special possession, for Matt it was a bible.
  • Ready to Go to the Pole

    Ready to Go to the Pole
    Barlet and Borup left Cape Columbia and then they were ready to go to the North Pole.
  • Waited

    At 6:30 the next morning,the leader of the main group,Henson, waited for Peary's command.
  • Big Lead

    Peary and Henson caught up with Barlett at the Big Lead.
  • Crimson Sphere

    Matt saw the the sun reapaer, on the brink of the worid,waiting beside the Big Lead.
  • Frozen Over

    The weather was -45 degrees and the Big Lead was frozen over,and Matt and Peary and thier team of Eskimos scampered over.
  • Congraugulated

    Three men had already returned, now it was Ross Marvin's turn, he conraugulated Henson for continuing his wish to the North Pole.
  • Ice Split

    Peary and Henson caught up with Barlett, and his team Ekimos when they were sleeping beside the wide lead.A few hours later Matt heard a great grinding and crashing and the ice split with a shot Barlett and his team of Eskimos were on a loose floating island.
  • Disapoited

    Barrlet had to go back he was very disapointed that he didn't get to go to the North Pole with Peary, but he Knew it needed to be Henson.
  • Special Treat

    They repaided sledges all day and then the Eskimos had a special treat bollied dog.
  • 10 Hours

    Peary started out on foot at midnight, then he rode on a sledge,then marched for 10 hours.
  • Thin Ice

    matt and his crew members came to a Big Lead covered with thin ice he started to go cross it with a sledes and the runners broke though he started to yell at the dogs to go to safety.
  • Camp

    They raced off again and at 10:00 in the morning they stopped at noon Commander said to go into camp.
  • Observaning

    Observaning
    Peary had to be absolutely sure he was in the right place so at 6:00 he took more observaning, of a eight bye 10 miles.They made it to the North Pole.
  • Cape Columbia

    They were back at Cape Columbai when Peary hurried on ahead when they were a days march from the ship.
