    The Article of confederation was made to give the colonist time and make a law based system so they will have something for when they will the war. The system was meant to fail though so they can make another law system named the Constitution.

    James Madison also made the constitution before the Bill of Rights. He made it so each branch of government gets the same and fair amount of power. there are three braches the judicial,legislative, and executive.

    Out of the 13 colonies only 9 had to sign the constitution to make it official. Only nine colonies signed the constitution and those states were Delaware Pennsylvania New Jersey Georgia Connecticut Mary Land South Carolina Massachusetts and the last state to sign it was New Hampshire

They are the Executive, President and about 5,000,000 workers Legislative Senate and House of Representatives and Judicial Supreme Court and lower Courts. The President of the United States administers the Executive Branch of our government. He enforces the laws that the Legislative Branch Congress makes.

    James Madison made the Bill of Rights to add to the Constitution to make the Constitution stronger and more stable. It gives the government a certain amount of power so the government doesn't over power anyone like the British did.

    Some of the original framers and many delegates in the state ratifying conventions were very troubled that the original Constitution lacked a description of individual rights. In 1791, Americans added a list of rights to the Constitution. The first ten amendments became known as The Bill of Rights

    The Articles of Confederation was adopted four years before the colonist used it. In Philadelphia all thirteen colonies signed the articles of confederation and they could use it. Mary Land was the last colony to sign it.
