Minister Whitfield resolves that verbally acknowledging his affair with Addie to Anse will absolve him of God's punishment for his sinful actions. But after he reaches over at the Tull's house, they tell him that Addie had died. After he gets that news, he doesn't really know what to do after. -

Darl Bundren
Darl in the story goes a little psycho from my point of view and from peoples view in the story. After his mom dies he wants to rest his mom in a nice natural way but its another way of him lashing out. He burns the place down, but he never is the same after that. I think that he had burn't everything down to get rid of all the memories in that barn, that the family had made while on their journey. -
Gillespie
Gillespie had own the barn that the bundrens mother died in. He doesn't know what to do afterwards because he lost everything that he put his money and effort into. He couldn't stop anyone after the fire started. -
Dewey Dell
Dewey is going through a lot, and in the middle of it she goes to Peabody and asks him for an abusive drugs but gets denied multiple times. -
Darl
Him and his family make it to Jefferson, but after they get there Darl gets put into an asylum. -
Cash
Cash, gets hurt in the story and his leg gets so infected at some point it turns black. Later on they get medicine to fix his leg and he gets back to normal
