Japan invades Manchuria
On the 19th of september Japan wanted to gain extra power over China and by a display of dominence Japan took over Manchuria. (a Chinese country) -
Japan leaves the League of Nations
In 1933 the League of nations got a report stating that Japan had forced all action in Manchuria, this then lead to Japan leaving the league of nations. -
Pearl Harbour
On the morning of December 7th, 1941 pearl harbour packed with a large fleet of American Battleships was bombed and attacked by the Japanese airforce. 2,402 Americans were killed due to the Japanese "kamakarzi" pilots deliberatly flying into the American battleships to sink them and kill the soliders on board. -
Negasaki Atomic Bombing
America was sick of the war over the pacific and decided to put it to an end with the "Fat Boy". The Atomic bomb was dropped on Negasaki at 11:02 am on August 9th 1945. It aproximelty killed 80,000 people. -
White Australia Policy
In !949 the white Australia policy was effectively dismantled and in 1966 the governement passed laws to ensure that racism was withdrawn. -
Cuban Missile Crisis
The Cuban missile crisis was the USA broke diplimatic relations with the Cuba government. The USSR at the same time were threating to drop Atom bombs on Cuba to force them to become communist. -
1967 Referendum
In the 1967 Referrendum it basically decided that some of the land taken away from the Aboriginals when the English fist settled was to be given back and named Aboriginal private land. -
Tampa Crisis
On the 26th of August 2001 a Norwegian tanker named the Tampa rescued 438 refugees from a sinking ship off christmas island. When the captain returned to christmas island with the refugees he was refused entry. This then started a political war between Australia and Indonesia.
