    On sunday 13th may 1787 the first eleven ship named the first fleet departure from England to Australia. It had many types of people such as convicts, soilders and families.

    The first fleet arrived
    it took 8 months for the eleven ship to get to Australia, they first arrived at botany bay on 18th january. Then they arrived at Sydeny shores at 26th of January which we know today as Australia day.
  • gold rush began

    On 1851 when a guy name Edward Hammond Hargraved claimed that he found payable gold near bathurst New South whales at a site called Ophir. Six months later gold was found in victoria Warrandyte and Ballarat.

    Germany declared war on France and Russia, they invaded Belgium. Many people had to move to Australia because of the bombing blitz in Germany, most of the people that mirgrated to Australia were people from Europe. It impacted Australian culture because Europe people brang over thier food from their country. The war ended at 11 November 1918.

    After World War 2 Australia released a massive immigration program, over 1 million British citizens came to Australia due to the immigration program. People also from Europe came to Australia seeing that there were so many Europeans coming to Australia, they travelled here by boats for the cost of 10 pounds. It changed Australian culture by the europeans bringing over there food and clothes etc.

    After 10 years of war in Vietnam more then 10,000 vietnamese citizen has moved to Australia for a better life. Chinese and Indonesians also came to Australia, most of these mirgrants came from the asian region, most of them came by boats. This wave of mirgration impacted Australian culture because now in australia there is alot of asian food and restaurants, new traditions, religions and clothing.

    People all over the world are now migrating to Australia because they want a better lifestyle education or even to start a new life. Most people migrate to Australia by planes, there are some people called asylum seekers or refugees who fled to Australia with no visa.
