Kateri was know as a skilled worked but she didnt want to marry anyone. When her adoptive parents proposed a sutior to her she refused to entertain the proposal. They punished her by giving her more work to do but she did not give in. -
19 years old
At the age of 19 Kateri converted to Catholicism taking a vow of chastity and pledging to marry only Jesus Christ =. Her decision was very unpopular with her. Her adoptive parents and there neighbors were suprised. -
22 years old
Legened says that Kateri was very devout and would put throns on her sleeping mat. She often prayed for the conversion fo her fellow MoHawks. -

Kateri was very devout and was know for her steadfast devotion. She was also very sick. Her practices of self- mortification and denial may have helped her condition. But just five years after she had converted to Catholicism she became very ill and passed away at the age of 24. -
