Today we decided how our bridge would hold together we want ot make the sticks to be side ways so it will be stonger. That is how our bridge will stay together.
  • Bridges

Today we made one side of our bridge. we think that it will hold up pretty good.
  • Bridges

today we worked more on our bridges. we covered it in glue around all the little dabs of glue.
  • bridges

today we continued to build our bridge, we also had a movie going on bridges during the day.
  • Bridges

Today we white glued every thing. Then we continued to Build the two bases. the Bases are four sides with crosses on each side. Then four more sticks in the middle of the crosses.
  • Bridges

Today we are going to make our trussles longer because we ran into a promblem when we were about to glue them. They were to short and we would have be disqualified. Before the entire bridge was 34 cm. But then we realized that the span had too be that long.

today we finished our bridge we added the planks going from side to side. then we white glued it together.
  • bridge breaking

Today we weighted our bridge and we got in a little war. we tryed to beat Brigham and haydens bridge. Ours was 1 gram lighter, but then they took off almost ten grams. so thne we took off about five grams. At the end theirs was lighter, but we had still made ours much lighter. the first bridge was tested today, it held all the weight.
  • Trials

Today we tested our bridge. We were planning to test it from the bottom, but at the last second we decided to test it from the top. Because of this it fell over at about 17 pounds. We set it back up but this time from the bottom. But when it fell over it broke and weakend most of our glue joints. So at 18 pounds the glue snapped and it fell. our score was 109.356. We beat the reds buy .7 and took fourth place.
  • Watching

today we watched our freinds towers and fixed some other timetoast entries.
  • collaboration

We collaborated with other class mates by watching them and learning from them what did/didn't work. After we saw other peoples bridges we took off about five grams of weight. If we hadn't seen their weight we would have had a lot of unnessasary wood that wouldn't have done anything.
