    The Fredonian Rebellion was when the Edwards Brothers and the Mexican Government had a disagreement. When he forced settlers out of their homes because they could not prove their ownership of the land, the Mexican government canceled his empresario contract.

    The Law of April 6, 1830 was made to stop lots of the immigrants from the U.S coming to Texas. Anastacio Bustamante was president when this law was passed. Most people were bothered or outraged about this law. Stephen F Austin was able to convince them to stop some parts of the law.

    SFA goes to Mexico City

    SFA is chosen by the convention of 1833 to deliver the resolutions to Santa Anna. He arrives in July and waits; and Finally Santa anna meets with him. SFA persuades him to adopt almost all of the resolutions. But he says no to statehood. And when SFA settles in December he gets arrested in Saltillo.

    The Turtle Bayou Resolutions were signed by settlers during the Anahuac Disturbances, which played a role in the secession of Texas from Mexico and the creation of the Republic of Texas.
  • Conflict of Anahuac

    Conflict of Anahuac
    When William Travis and Patrick Travis were arrested by Col. Juan Davis Bradburn, the "rescue force" of settlers captured 19 of Bradburn's men. They spent the day arguing about exchange deals, til the rebels came up with a fair exchange plan. But Bradburn refused to let them go. Then later the conflict was solved when Bradburn's superior came and released the prisoners.

    Convention of 1832

    The Convention of 1832 was the first political gathering of colonists in Mexican Texas. On October 1, 1832, 55 political delegates met at San Felipe de Austin to petition for changes in the governance of Texas.
  • The Consultatioin

    The Consultation served as the provisional government of Mexican Texas from November 1835 to March 1836 during the Texas Revolution. Tensions rose in Texas during early 1835 as throughout Mexico federalists began to oppose the increasingly centralist policies of the government.
