Feb. 4-11. It was a wartime conference between Franklin D. Roosevelt, Winston Churchill, and Joeseph Stalin. It was mainly to discuss the re-establishment of war-torn Europe. - Pinto -
Establishment of the UN in San Fransico
In 1945, representatives of 50 countries met in San Francisco to meet in the UN. The charter was signed by the 50 countries representatives. Poland was one of the UN that didn't show up therefore they next made it 51 countries.

Happened in a Berlin suburb. Allied held after the Nazi regime fell, where allied leaders met. Truman, Stalin, and Churchill all discussed European peace settlements, and Stalin took East Germany.

Army-McCarthy hearings
The hearings were held for the purpose of investigating conflicting accusations between the United states army and John McCarthy. They accused McCarthy of trying to get special treatment for his former aid and friend. While McCarthy was accusing the Army of being full of communists. -
The Launch Of Sputnik I
THe first artificial satelitte to be put into space. It was launched in 1957 by the Soviets, ehich made them win the space race. It was the start of the space age. - Pinto -
The U2 Incident
An American U-2 Spy Plane was shot down in Soviet airspace. The Americans thought it flew high enough to not be detected by Soviet radar, let alone be shot down. - Pinto
