    Theory of Natural Selection
Charles Darwin study of Natural Selection stated that more individuals are produced each generation that can survive. Take the whale for example, it was once thought to be a land-dwelling mammal that moved to the water. Eventually those individuals with heritable traits better suited to the environment will survive. So know we have whales, it is thought that in the near future they will loses the blow hole and become fully a creature of the sea.
