Charles Robert Darwin Timeline

  • Origin

Charles Darwin was born in The Mount in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England in 1809. He suffered from Angina and after a series of small heart attacks, a final heart attack killed him on April 19, 1882.

Natural selection could change species in small ways like a change of color or size over generations in time. This was referred to as "microevolution". With enough time and changes, natural selection can create a whole new species and this is called macroevolution.
  • Theory of Evolution

    Theory of Evolution
On November 22, 1859, Charles Darwin published his book "The Origin Of Species By Means Of Natural Selection. This is the process by which organisms change over time as a result of changes in heritable physical or behavioral traits. Changes that allow an organism to better adapt to its environment will help it survive and have more offspring.
  • Natural Seleciton

Charles Darwin's theory of evolution was described as "survival of the fittest". If an animal wasn't strong enough to survive and reproduce, it would eventually lead to extinction. It also meant that if an animal couldn't adapt to a sudden climate change, it would also lead to the same fate.
  • Conclusion

Charles Darwin opened the doors for many possibilities with his theory. Even though Darwin considered God as the ultimate lawgiver, his theory still made Christians question his theory. I think there is a lot of evidence that back up his theory and makes a lot of sense when it comes to different living things over the generations of time.
