    In February 1784 just after the close of the Revolutionary War. The General Assembly of Georgia set aside 40,000 acres of land to establish " a collage or seminary of learning. The founder went by the name of Abraham Baldwin. he was the one who came up with the idea of put the university on the 40,000 acres of land for the university of Georgia.

    Capital Moved To Louisville
    In January 26, 1786 the organizers of Louisville decided to move the capital. After the British left they decided to move it to Augusta. Then they moved the capital to Louisville while they repaired the city. Then the city of Milledgeville and called for an election to move the capital to Atlanta.
