Discovered and named Dominica. 1498 Third voyage. Discovered South America. Columbus and his men were taken back to Spain in November 1504. 1506 Columbus died in Spoin.

    Panfilo De Narvaez

    Panfilo De Narvaez
    Born in Spain on 1470. Spanish conquistador and soldier in the Americas. In 1509 he accompanied Juan de Esquirel in the conquest of Jamaica. He first embarked to Jamaica in 1510 as a soldier. He helped conquer Cuba in 1511 and led a Śpanish royal expedition to North America. His misfortunes began when Governor Velázquez appointed him in 1520 to lead an expedition to Mexico. landed in the vicinity of Tampa Bay on Good Friday in April 1528. He died in 1528.

    He was born in 1485 in Medellín, Spain.In 1519, he was elected captain of the third expedition to the mainland. In 1541 Cortés returned to Spain, where he died peacefully but embittered, six years later. Cortés conquered the Aztee Empire and built a new colony.

    Alvar Nunez Cabeza De Vaca

    He was born somewhere around 1488/1490/1492. Spanish explorer of the New World, and one of four survivors of the 1527 Narváez expedition. During eight years of traveling across the US Southwest, he became a trader and faith healer to various Native American tribes before reconnecting with Spanish colonial forces in Mexico in 1536. After returning to Spain in 1537, he wrote an account, first published in 1542. He died somewhere around 1557 / 1558/ 1559/ 1560.

    Alonzo Alvarez De Piñeda
    Piñeda was born in Aldeacentenera, Spain in 1494. In 1517, Alonso Alvarez de Pineda had led several expeditions to map the western coastlines of the Gulf of Mexico. On June 2, 1519, Alvarez de Pineda entered a large bay with a sizable Native American settlement on one shore.His map is the first known document of Texas history and was the first map of the Gulf Coast region of the United States. He died in 1520.

    Francisco Vasquez De Coronado

    Coronado was born into a noble family in Salamanca, Spain, in 1510. Oronado went to New Spain in 1535. In 1539, he dispatched Friar Marcos de Niza and Estevanico, a survivor of the Narváez expedition. In the autumn of 1539, Mendoza ordered Melchior Díaz, commander of the Spanish outpost at San Miguel de Culiacán, to investigate Friar de Niza's findings, and on November 17, 1539, Díaz departed for Cíbola with fifteen horsemen. He died in September 22, 1554 in Mexico City,Mexico.
