The first Battle of Bull Run, took place in Virginia, and was won by the Confederates. The union was led by McDowell and the confederate army was led by Bearegard.

Battle of Hampton Roads

Mar 8, 1862

The Battle of Hampton Roads was fought in Virginia, and was a draw between forces. The Battle ended on March 9th. The union was led by Goldsborough and the confederates were led by Buchanan.

Battle of Shiloh

The Battle of Shiloh was fought in Tennesse, and was won by the Confederate Army on the 7th. The Union was led by Sherman and the confederates were led by Beauregard.

The Battle of Antietam took place in Maryland, in 1862. The Unioin won and the battle was known as the bloodiest day of the Civil War. The Union was led by Mcclellan oppose to the confederates being led by Lee.

The battle was fought in Virginia and was won by the Confederates. The union sufferend an estimated 1,200 men.
The Union was led by Burnside and the confederates were led by Lee.

Emancipation Proclamation

Licoln signed an important document saying all slacves in the Confederate states were free, but it didnt work very well.

Surrender at Appomattox Courthouse
