Texas secedes from Union!
Texas was a soverign state due to annexation to the USA so everyone in Texas where americans. So because of the state convention Texas leaders vioed for Texas to secede 166 to 8. So Texas seceded and became the 7th state to secede. -
SM kicked out of office
Houston did NOT want to fight the civil war becasue two decades of his work in Texas would be destroyed! Houston never turned down a fight in his life.So he was kicked out of office because he refused to agree to the Confederate States of America! :( -

The South fired on the Union at Fort Sumter. At 2;30 pm on April 12 1861 Major Robert Anderson surrenered and they fleed the next day. -
Battle of Galveston
This battle took place when Major and General John b. Magruder (He was on the Confederacys side) was attacking the Union in their naval boats. This battle occured when the Union blockaded Galvestonand the Confedracey tried to stop them by battleing them yet they filed miserably... -
Battle of Gettysburg!
During this battle General Robert E. Lee made his army destroy the Unions army. Though they fought bravely and strongly the Union won! After a exhausting and deadly 3 days of heavy assults and after 23,251 people died on the Confederate side Lees army finally backed down and fled back to Virginia. Most of the attacks occurred on Little Round Top, Devils Den, The Wheatfeild and the Peach Orchard... This on large battle was very spaced out and that is ond of reasons so many men died.... -
Battle of Sabine Pass
During this battle the Union blockaded the Confederate town of Sabine Pass,Texas. Though the Confederate states had way more weapons and defense ( 30 infantry, 30 cavalry and they had Fort Sabine!) They were deafeated ny the Union who had 1 steamer and 2 schooners. The Confedracy had Lieut. Richard W. Dowling and he had foot troopsand 6 cannons. While the Union had Lieut Fredrick Crocker who had 4 warships and had about 315 men captured and 28 killed... :( -
Red River Campaign
These battles were a series of battles fought along the Red River in Lousiana. There were 30,000 men on the Union side who were all led by General Nathaniel P. Parks. The Confederate side had 8,000 men led by General Richard Taylor. The union had 5,000 deaths and the Confederates had 4,361. The Unions goals were to capture the Sherveport, Lousiana and to steal as much bales of cotten as they could. But more than anything else they wanted to destroy the Confederate army! 8( -

This battle was generally known as the last battle of the Civil War.The battle was fought bruttaly along the Rio Grande river in Brownsville. The forst side tomattack was the Union because the General Barret and attack on a enemy camp. The attack made the Confederacy team furcious so they attacked the next day and won! They captured 101 men! -
