    Harry Truman represented the U.S. Stalin demanded heavy reparation for damages. The allies reached an agreement for democratization, denazification, and demilitarization.

    The Soviet Union made a blockade in Germany. It was an attempt to limit the ability of France, Great Britain, and the United States of eastern Germany. Joseph Stalin restricted many railroads, and water ways that connected to Germany.

    Built out of concrete and barbed wire, the Berlin Wall was a wall to divide West Berlin from East Berlin. Main purpose was to keep western fascists out ot the East.

    A 13 day confrontation between the U.S. and Cuba. On October 27, day before crisis ended, a U.S. plane was shot down over Cuba. This whole experience showed how vulnerable the U.S. was to nuclear attack.

    Took place during the Cold War. The Vietnamese shot U.S. ships in 1964, which was the leading casue to why we entered the war. A long costly armed conflict that pitted the communist regime of North Vietnam. In 1975, the last U.S. troops left Vietnam.

    Perestroika called for a de-monoplization and some semi-private businesses to function, ending price controls. The term "Glasnot" means "openness" and was used in social and political reforms to restore more right among people.

    Divided into 15 countries, and tranformed the entire world political economic and military alliances all over the globe. Baris Yeltsin was elected in the summer of 1991, which was the leading factor to the fall of the Soviet Union.
