    The Truman Doctrine happened when the US gave Greece and Turkey $400 million in aid to prevent the spread of communism to other countries. They enforced containment to block the Soviets attempt to spreading communism by creating alliances and supporting the weaker countries such as Greece and Turkey. The Truman Doctrine was a success.     The Rosenberg Spy Case happened when Ethel and Julius were arrested because they were convicted of conspiring to steal designs for America’s atomic bomb and then delivering them back to Soviet secret agents. There were high radioactivity levels because of America’s secret atomic bomb research program that were detected. The Rosenberg’s had protested their innocence, but they late sentenced to death for stealing atomic secrets. This execution said to be the most controversial case of the Cold War

    Fidel Castro was the first person in the whole western hemisphere to establish a communist state and overthrow military dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. He was the commander in chief of Cuba. Castro was one to criticize political and economic freedoms. Fidel Castro also despised the US especially in the Cuban Missile Crisis and the Bay of Pigs invasion which all happened in a result of the Cold War.

    John F. Kennedy set a goal to safely send an American to the moon before the decade ended. This is what started the space race between the US and the Soviet Union. He knew that this would be a very challenging task, but he knew that if he were to accomplish this, then the US would have lead over the Soviet Union.
