North Korea threatened to finish their nuclear weapons, where they could bomb us. Clinton threatened to strike. BUt he ended up wanting to negotiate with them. It resulted in an agreement known as the Agreed Framework. -
North Korea shuts down Nuclear bomb
North Korea has shut down the nuclear bomb reactor, and begins to build 2 other type of bombs. They started to test fire the bombs. North Korea had agreed to keep the test bombing on testing-medium and long-ranged missiles as long as they stayed connected with the US. -
Framework doesn't work out
President Bush enter office and they took a more hard line approach to North Korea. He wasn't sure that North Korea was really agreeing to the Agreed Framework. North Korea warned that talking to them like that would make them strongly react back.
