Little Boy
America used its first atomic bomb. The bomb arrived at the U.S. base on the Pacific island of Tinian. It was more than 9,000-pounds, the uranium-235 bomb was loaded aboard a modified B-29 bomber christened Enola Gay (after the mother of its pilot, Colonel Paul Tibbets). The plane dropped the bomb at 8:15 in the morning, and it exploded 2k feet above Hiroshima in a blast equal to 12-15,000 tons of TNT, destroying 5 square miles of the city. -

After years of negotiations, the enemies signed a settlement on July 27, 1953. The contract permitted the POWs to stay wherever they pleased. They drew a new border nearby the 38th parallel that gave South Korea an additional 1,500 square miles of land and produced a 2-mile-wide “demilitarized zone”. -

Nikita was born in Russian. He grew up and became completely devoted to Communism. Hewanted to bring Communism all around the world. His pushed it to spread to China, Cuba, and North Korea. -
The Hungarian Revolution
Russia gained control of Poland. Then of course instilled their Communist beliefs on the Polish citizens. There was a revolt in the Polish workforce. Prime Minister Imre Nagy led the rebellion. This was the day that the revolt started, after he was arrested by Russians. -

During the Cold War, America and Russia were competing in what is known now as the “Space Race”. It was to see which powerful nation could send the first satellite into space. The USSR launched Sputnik into space. Although the Russians beat America this time, American still sent Neil Armstrong to be the first man on the moon. -

Khrushchev finally became the leader of Russia. When Nikita reached this position, he obtained the complete consideration of the American government. -

This mission was meant to be completely undercover if Powers were to get shot down to be captured by the Russians he was to commit suicide. The plane went missing and it is still a mystery as to the disappearance of the aircraft. -
Khrushchev Cancel meeting at Paris Summit
When the meeting between the US and the USSR at the Paris Summit came near, it was called off by Khrushchev. The reasoning behind it being called off had to do with the US spy plane over Russian territory. America would have probably been able to refute the allegations if Nikita hadn’t had the living pilot as. When this information got out, it caused heavy confusion within the CIA.
